RETURN TO SPORT FRAMEWORK

RETURN TO SPORT FRAMEWORK

Welcome to the Artistic Swimming RETURN TO SPORT FRAMEWORK. We have been working on a plan to assist clubs and their coaches to safely return to the training activity. Here you will find useful resources and links to information to help you safely Plan, Prepare, Respond, and Recover.

Download the COVIDSafe app to help slow the spread of the virus and keep Australians safe.

Four elements of a safe return to sport

  • Plan - Implement plans, processes and systems to meet local government and health requirements, and provide safe environments.
  • Prepare -  Once COVID safety measures are in place, clubs resume training in line with advice from their state and territory governments and their COVID-19 Safety Plans.
  • Respond When government restrictions are lifted, competitions can resume in a COVID safe manner and respond in line with their COVID-19 Safety Plans.
  • Recover - When public health officials determine that the outbreak has ended in the local community, clubs consult with relevant authorities to identify criteria for scaling back its COVID-19 prevention actions. Clubs will also consider which protocols can remain to optimise good public and participant health.

ASAI RETURN TO SPORT GUIDELINES

These guidelines apply to the initial return to sport for artistic swimming athletes, coaches, volunteers and personnel (hereafter all referred to as ‘participants’). These guidelines will be revised in line with the Australian Institute of Sport and Sport Australia recommendations, and National, State and Local Department of Health guidelines.

SPORT AUSTRALIA RETURN TO SPORT RESOURCES FOR CLUBS

The Sport Australia Return to Sports Toolkit is built on the AIS Framework for Rebooting of Sport and the Australian Government’s National principles for the resumption of sport and recreation activities and includes easy to use templates and step-by-step checklists for clubs and associations to follow when planning their resumption of sporting activities.

  • Sport Australia Template COVID-19 Safety Plan - This template is designed to help organisations consolidate their planning for the resumption of activities. Your organisation should appoint a COVID-19 Safety Coordinator to oversee the delivery of the plan and act as a central point of contact. After completing a COVID-19 Safety Plan including the Appendix: Outline of Return to Sport Arrangements, the organisation should review the Sport Australia Checklist.
  • Sport Australia Template Attendance Register - A template document for recording who has attended a sporting venue or event at a specific time. This is to facilitate adequate contact tracing should an attendee be confirmed with contracting COVID-19.
  • Sport Australia Detailed Checklist - This checklist is divided into two sections outlining actions an organisation should consider as part of its return to sport plan from an organisational and operational perspective.
