High Performance

Artistic Swimming Australia (ASA) has developed an athlete talent pathway detailing any artistic swimmer's progression from entering the sport to Performance Clubs, Emerging, Youth, Junior squads, and its Olympic - Team Australia.

Efforts are made to provide opportunities for as many athletes as possible as early in the athlete’s development within the athlete talent pathway. As athletes increase in age and ability, opportunities and squad places are fewer, and expectations are higher.

Athletes have access to support in the pool with expert coaching and out of the pool through a range of world-class service providers.

A performance ethos based on shared collaborative values is central to the success of the high-performance pathway.

The ASA strategic plan has a clear, high-performance goal of making Australia a leading Artistic Swimming Nation for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games.
