The Sport Australia Hall of Fame (SAHOF) Scholarship & Mentoring Program, supported by the Australian Sports Commission, incorporating the Australian Institute of Sport, and Harvey Norman, assists young elite athletes on their journey to excellence and success on the world stage, awarding $150,000 in funding to 32 athletes each year. 
 
The three-tiered scholarship program sits amongst the most elite programs in Australia, if not the world. Connecting Australia’s next generation of athletic talent with the greats of Australian sport by providing scholarship holders with unrivalled access to SAHOF Members, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Tier 1 and Tier 2 Eligibility

Nominations are open to all sportspersons who meet the following criteria:

1. Be an Australian Citizen (residents cannot apply)
2. Be between the ages of 15 – 21 as of December 31 of the year applying
3. Be a participant in a sport recognised by either the Australian Sports Commission, Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) and/or Paralympics Australia (PA)
4. Have competed at a International junior level or National senior level in their chosen sport (where applicable)
5. Be a member of the Australian junior or senior squad/team in their chosen sport (where applicable)
6. The applicant must complete the form themselves. No third party can apply on the applicant’s behalf (if the applicant is overseas, unavailable or incapable, a third party can apply on their behalf however, must provide reason)

Tier 3 Eligibility

1. Must complete an application for Tier 1 and 2 or Tier 2 only
2. Must show the following in their application to be considered: compassion, hardship and athletic drive.

Please note: The Scholarship & Mentoring Program Committee reserve the right to change the conditions of the Scholarship & Mentoring Program. Its decision will be final. Past Scholarship Holders are encouraged to re-apply.

Applications close at 11:59pm on Sunday, June 29, 2025 – no exceptions

Choosing the correct application form:

• Tier 1 and 2 application: first and foremost you will be considered for Tier 1 and if unsuccessful, you will be automatically considered for Tier 2 then a Tier 3 Scholarship
• Tier 2 application only: first and foremost you will be considered for Tier 2 and if unsuccessful, you will be automatically considered for Tier 3
• Note: Tier 3 does not have a separate application form

Completing the application

• This application must be completed by the athlete themselves. If a third party is required to complete the application, this must be acknowledged at the end of the form, noting who completed the form, and the reason for doing so.
• If you wish to save the application and complete it later, please email a copy of the link to your preferred email address, noting:
  • Upon resuming the application, you will be taken back to the start of the form and there may be some fields blank
  • Please be understanding if this does occur, sometimes technology is not always our friend
  • You will still need to complete and submit the application prior to the due date

All applications must be submitted by 11:59pm on Sunday, June 29, 2025. Applications received after this time will not be considered.
