Artistic Swimming Australia – National Team Coaching Update
Artistic Swimming Australia (ASA) wishes to acknowledge the outstanding contribution of Paula Klambourg Roqué as Head Coach of the ASA National Team. Since joining our program, Paula has played an instrumental role in driving the growth of artistic swimming in Australia and guiding our athletes through a period of exciting development and success.
We are proud to share that Paula will be moving into a similar high-profile role in the lead-up to the Olympic Games in Los Angeles 2028. This appointment is a recognition of Paula’s expertise and reflects the international respect for the progress being made within ASA’s High Performance Program. Paula will conclude her role with ASA in October 2025.
While we will miss Paula’s presence, ASA is pleased to confirm that Andrea Fuertes (Spain) has been appointed as the new National Team Coach. Andrea will officially commence in December 2025 and brings a wealth of international experience, creativity, and a proven record of athlete and team development.
With Andrea’s leadership, and the strong team of specialist coaches and support staff already in place, ASA remains firmly focused on delivering its long-term performance strategy.
Our athletes continue to prepare for major international events with confidence and determination as we build towards Los Angeles 2028 and Brisbane 2032.
We thank Paula for her dedication and professionalism and wish her every success in her new role. We look forward to continuing to celebrate her achievements as part of the global artistic swimming community.
Farewell and thank you Paula, Welcome Andrea.
