We’re delighted to invite you to our next Deep Dives online conversation — an opportunity to learn from experts who bring fresh insights to support wellbeing, performance, and connection across artistic swimming.
Our guest this month is Dr Nikki Cummings, dietitian to Australia’s senior Artistic Swimming Team.

Nikki is an academic, business owner, and experienced speaker with over 30 years’ experience helping athletes perform at their best. She began her career as a Sports Dietitian at the Australian Institute of Sport and ACT Academy of Sport, working with athletes across soccer, rugby, volleyball, triathlon, long-distance running, and gymnastics. Today, through her practice Optimal Intake in South Fremantle, Nikki combines evidence-based nutrition with practical strategies that fuel performance, enhance recovery, and support long-term physical and mental wellbeing.
In this session, we’ll explore:

Fuel for growth — how young athletes can eat to support training and development (including easy lunchbox ideas).

Competition-day nutrition — what, when, and how to eat for optimal performance and recovery.

Healthy habits for life — how parents and coaches can foster a positive relationship with food and recognise early signs of disordered eating.
