Expression of Interest – Appointed Directors (2 Positions)

Term: Three (3) years

Artistic Swimming Australia (ASA) is the national sporting organisation responsible for the governance, development and promotion of artistic swimming across Australia. Working in partnership with state and territory member organisations, athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers, ASA leads the growth of participation at all levels while delivering a sustainable high-performance pathway that enables Australian athletes to compete successfully on the world stage.

Artistic Swimming Australia is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced and passionate leaders to fill two (2) Appointed Director positions on its Board for a three-year term.

These appointments present an exciting opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction and governance of the sport while supporting its continued growth and high-performance success.

About the Role

The Board is responsible for providing strategic leadership, ensuring good governance, overseeing organisational performance, and supporting the long-term sustainability of Artistic Swimming Australia.

We are seeking directors who bring:

  • Previous board or senior executive experience with strong governance knowledge.
  • An understanding of the Australian sporting landscape.
  • Familiarity with artistic swimming, including its athlete pathway and high-performance program.
  • Strategic thinking, sound judgement and the ability to contribute positively to Board discussions.
  • A collaborative leadership style and commitment to the values of integrity, respect and excellence.

Time Commitment

Successful applicants will be expected to:

  • Serve a three-year term as an Appointed Director.
  • Attend regular Board meetings (held both online and in person where required).
  • Prepare for and actively participate in Board discussions and decision-making.
  • Serve on at least one Board Committee and contribute to its work.
  • Attend key ASA events and stakeholder meetings where appropriate.
