Successful World Aquatics Championships for Artistic Swimming Australia Team

The Hancock Prospecting Artistic Swimming Australia Team excelled during the World Aquatics Championships in Doha this month, delivering an impressive performance that led to a new personal best score in multiple events and two finals for the Technical and Free Team events.

Team Australia exhibited exceptional skill and artistry throughout the competition. Their routines captivated audiences and judges and earned them well-deserved recognition among the world's best.

The team have equaled their best team performance in the Technical Team in Doha, Qatar. The swim of 224.0447, saw the team finish in 8th spot. This equals the 8th place finish in the Free Team from Fukuoka, Japan  in 2023. This is also a huge 27.636 improvement, from the 196.4087 the team swam in the final in Japan, where they finished 12th (the previous best result in Technical Team).

The athletes also earned a spot in the finals with their Free Team routine. They landed 10th place with a score of 229.6751.

Kiera Gazzard and Rayna Buckle delivered wonderful performances during the Technical and Free duet events . They finished in 19th place with their Technical Duet routine with a score of 211.1166, improving their score with an impressive 21.4532 points from the world champhionships last year in Fukuoka.  

Congratulations on great performances to Rayna Buckle, Natalia Caloiero, Georgia Courage-Gardiner, Raphaelle Gauthier, Kiera Gazzard, Allessandra Ho, Margo Joseph-Kuo, Anastasia Kusmawan, Zoe Poulis and Milena Waldmann, as well as coaches Paula Klamburg Roque, Nawal Leon Kurson and Shoko Ono.
