Artistic Swimming Australia bolsters High Performance Program with world class appointments

Artistic Swimming Australia (ASA) has strengthened its High-Performance program with the appointment of two internationally recognised coaches to drive athlete development and support Australia’s path toward International success.
Joining ASA as Assistant Coach at TheHancock Prospecting Program Centre of Excellence in Perth is Miriam Llovet. Bringing extensive technical experience, energy and a proven record in athlete development, Miriam will work alongside National Program Coach Andrea Fuertes to enhance the daily training environment and prepare athletes for upcoming international benchmark events and future Olympic Games.
“Miriam’s appointment adds tremendous depth to our coaching team,” said Aleksandr Osadchuk, ASA General Manager of Performance and Pathways. “Her international perspective and commitment to athlete growth will be instrumental as we build towards Brisbane 2032."
ASA is also proud to announce a new strategic collaboration with world-leading artistic swimming specialist Mayuko Fujiki who joins as National Programs Consultant. Across her distinguished career, Mayuko has guided and advised multiple national programs to medal-winning performances at World Championships and Olympic Games. Her global expertise in routine construction, technical development, and performance strategy will provide invaluable insight to Australia’s High Performance system.
Through this collaboration, Mayuko will:
- Provide strategic technical input across Senior and Junior programs
- Guide routine construction and difficulty progression
- Offer international benchmarking insights
- Support competition preparation and performance review
- Mentor and align national coaches within the High Performance framework
ASA would also like to acknowledge and thank Andrea Fuertes, National Program Coach for her continued leadership, professionalism, and commitment to driving the standards of the National Team and High Performance environment.
